Dhun

The places we live in, shape our lives. They shape our health, how we feel, and ultimately, who we become.

For us, Dhun began with a few simple questions. What kinds of places and cultures truly nourish us? How might nature, wellbeing, beauty, and community become part of everyday life, by design? And what would it take for places to grow better with time, becoming living inheritances for our children?

Dhun is our attempt to look for better answers, by listening, learning, and doing.

Since 2013, on 500 acres of what was once barren land, we’ve planted over 300,000 trees, restored water systems and food landscapes, and begun shaping neighbourhoods of human scale and pace; where nature, culture, and community are treated as essential infrastructure.

We don’t see this as a finished answer, but as a living laboratory. A place where traditional wisdom sits alongside science, technology, data, research, and systems design; helping us continually learn, adapt, and improve the conditions for long-term human and planetary wellbeing.

Over time, we hope to evolve this into a living model, one that integrates civilisational memory with the most meaningful breakthroughs of our time, guided by first principles and shaped through practice.

At its heart, Dhun is a way of thinking about how the places and cultures we build today might shape the societies we inherit tomorrow.

Building places like this takes time. And it takes people. If this way of thinking resonates, we’d love for you to be part of the journey.

COLLABORATE WITH DHUN

Co-creating the Playbook

Dhun is a sandbox to develop the future of everyday life.. We're documenting what works, what doesn't, and what it takes to build regenerative towns at scale. If you're working on land systems, governance, education, or material innovation, there's room here to test ideas in a real, functioning settlement.

ECOLOGY

Barren Land to Bioreserve

In 2013, Dhun was 500 acres of degraded land with less than 30 trees. Through restoration work, it has transformed into a bioreserve with 300,000 trees, 180+ bird species, and 600 million litres of harvested water. The land has cooled by 8°C.

COMMUNITY

Formed through shared intent

For years, people from across the world have come together to shape Dhun. A global community bound by generational thinking and a shared conviction that we can create healthier ways of living. This circle extends beyond the land to everyone who believes in what Dhun is becoming.

PROJECTS

Work that fuels Dhun

Dhun is built in layers, not phases. Ecological systems come before built form. Natural resources become generational wealth. Projects function as generative engines, each responding to an unarticulated need: how people actually want to live, learn, work, and age. This is the work that fuels Dhun's evolution and shows what's possible.
